The other day, Nancy, one of my friends called me at 11:00 at night to tell me that her husband had been fired from his job. The problem was that John, Nancy’s Husband couldn’t cope with the pressure of losing his his job.  He felt like that his pride had been taken away from him, he didn’t know how to express his feelings to his wife, and he had constant thought of how he was going to take care of his three kids and Nancy who was a house wife. It took me almost forty-five minutes to calm her down, because she was confused why her husband could be so self less.

In this situation, Nancy needs to build up john’s self esteem. One of the things that Nancy needs to realize is that it’s not her fault; she has nothing to do with him feeling awkward or cold. She also has to understand that John needs her to boost his self esteem up. It is also at this time that John will see his wife’s clear potential, because she can destroy him mentally or she can do everything under her power to reclaim her husband back. Nancy can destroy him because of the many things that she will say to him like “you’re not amount to anything” “you are irresponsible” “They fire you because you couldn’t produce”, words like these will destroy a person. Teh reason you marry is because  you had seen his potential, and you shall find those special things and help him see his real skills.

Just like Nancy, I have met acquaintances who worry about the scenery of their husbands’ life when they lose a job, a precious love one, or even his identity. In this case the only thing you can do his to help him find his potential, and help him reclaim his identity. I have seen other women help their men by taking them out, playing his favorite sport with them, making them smile with funny jokes, taking them to church and even helping them find a new job. In time like these, renewing your vows and assuring the person that you won’t leave will help him repossess himself and begin finding a new job.
